CandyShopVFX is a production and post-production studio in Chalandri, Athens. We use AI tools where they genuinely speed up the work, and we finish every film the way we always have: with artists, a full post pipeline and our own sound studio. The result is a film you can actually put on air, not a test that looks impressive once and falls apart at the second version.
Where AI earns its place
- Ideation and style frames. Several visual directions in hours instead of days, so the idea is judged on screen and not on a description.
- Previs. Rough versions of shots before anyone books a crew or starts a render.
- Image and video generation. Elements, environments and full shots when a location or a setup is impossible, unsafe or out of budget.
- Repair and enhancement. Clean-ups, upscaling, retiming and fixes on material that was otherwise unusable.
- Versions and localisation. Alternate formats, languages and adaptations of an approved film.
What we do not do
We do not deliver raw generator output. Every shot goes through the same edit, compositing, grade and sound process as our live-action work, because that is what makes a film consistent from frame one to the last.
We do not reproduce recognisable people or trademarks without rights, and we use tools and material that allow commercial use. Where you supply footage, logos or product references, the rights to that material stay your responsibility, and we write this clearly in every offer.
How an AI project runs
- Brief. What the film has to do, where it will run, and in how many versions.
- Direction. Two or three visual directions as style frames, so you choose with your eyes.
- Previs. The film in rough form, with timing and voice-over scratch, before the expensive part starts.
- Production. Generation, CGI and live action as the idea requires, mixed in the same film when that is the better answer.
- Post and delivery. Edit, compositing, grade, sound design, voice-over in our booth, mix and final masters.
Two rounds of revisions are included at each stage and written into the offer.
Why a studio and not just a tool
Artist-led
The tools change every few months. What does not change is knowing why a shot does not work and how to fix it. Every frame that leaves the studio is finished by experienced artists.
One pipeline, all the way to the master
AI shots, CGI and live action meet in the same edit, the same grade and the same mix. You get one film, delivered to broadcast specs, not a folder of clips.
Sound in the same building
Voice casting, recording, music supervision and mix happen in our own booth, so the film ships finished.
The Division for the hard parts
When a shot needs real simulation, fluids, particles or characters, our CG unit takes it on instead of forcing the tool to do something it cannot.
Frequently asked questions
Is an AI film cheaper than a shoot?
Often yes, and sometimes not. It removes crew, locations and travel, but it adds creative direction, iterations and post. We tell you which route is cheaper for your specific idea before you commit.
Who owns the final film?
You do. We work with tools and material that allow commercial use, and the rights of everything we deliver are written in the offer.
Can you match our product exactly?
For a product that has to be exact, we use CGI from your CAD or from photography, and AI where it helps around it. A generator alone will not keep a label or a shape consistent across shots.
Can you mix AI with live action?
Yes, and it is often the best answer: shoot what is worth shooting, generate what is impossible, and let compositing hide the seam.
Can you use a real actor or a known face?
Only with their agreement and the proper rights. We will not recreate a recognisable person or brand without them.
How long does it take?
It depends on the number of shots, the level of finish and how fast approvals come back. Every offer carries a schedule per stage, counted from the day we start.
