CandyShopVFX is a creative production and post house in Chalandri, Athens. Evangelos Kouloukythas founded the studio in 2013, after working in visual effects since 1998. It started as a VFX and post boutique and grew into a studio that carries a film from the first concept through to the final master.
Everything in one building
Concept and creative direction, live action production, editing, motion design, 2D and 3D, CGI, compositing and VFX supervision, AI-assisted content, voice-over, sound design and mix all happen in the same place.
That is not a list of services for its own sake. It is the reason the schedule holds. Nothing sits in a queue between one company and the next, nobody re-explains the brief, and when something changes on set the people who will finish the shot already know.
The Division
The Division is the studio’s advanced CG department, running since 2018. It covers fluids and particles, creatures and characters, and full environments, the work that does not come out of a template. Compositing and finishing run on Nuke.
Sound and voice, in house
The studio has its own recording booth and its own sound engineer. Voice casting, the recording session, music selection and the final mix happen here rather than being booked out.
For a client this mostly shows up as time. A change to a line does not mean rebooking a studio and waiting for a slot.
How the studio is set up
There is a core team in Athens covering editing and sound, 3D and compositing, motion design and illustration. The crew for each shoot is built around the script rather than kept standing, so a job gets the people it actually needs.
