CandyShopVFX produces commercials and brand films from our studio in Chalandri, Athens. We take the script or the idea, build the team around it, shoot it, and finish it under the same roof.
Most of our production work is small and mid-scale: TV and online commercials, product films, brand content, testimonials and social campaigns. The kind of job where a client wants one company answerable for the whole thing rather than a production house, an edit house and a sound studio pointing at each other.
What a production with us covers
- Concept and creative direction. From a brief, a rough idea, or a script that already exists and needs a way to be shot.
- Pre-production. Treatment, boards, casting, locations, permits, schedule and a budget you see broken down by deliverable.
- The shoot. Director, DoP, crew and kit assembled for the job, on location or in studio.
- Post-production. Edit, grade, VFX and motion, all in-house.
- Sound. Casting the voice, recording it in our own booth, music and final mix.
- Delivery. Broadcast masters, cutdowns, versions and formats for every channel the campaign runs on.
The team is built around the script
We do not keep a standing crew on the payroll, and that is deliberate. A product film in studio and a location shoot with cast need different people, and a permanent crew means paying for the wrong ones. We work with directors, DoPs, gaffers, stylists and production crew we have shot with for years, and we put together the team the job actually needs.
What does not change is who you talk to. The same people who quote the job run the shoot and sit in the edit afterwards, so nothing gets explained twice.
The shoot is half the job
A commercial is not finished when the camera stops. Edit, grade, VFX, graphics, voice-over and mix are where a film becomes the thing that goes on air, and all of it happens here, in the same building, by people who were on set.
That changes decisions on the day. A shot that would be expensive to fix later gets shot properly instead. A frame that needs a CG element gets the plate it needs. And when the client asks for a change in the edit, there is no second company to book and no second invoice.
How a production runs
- Brief and scope. We read what you have and come back with what it would take: shooting days, cast, locations and the deliverables you end up with. You see a cost per deliverable, not a lump sum.
- Pre-production. Treatment and boards, casting and locations, then a production meeting where everything is agreed before anyone books a day.
- Shoot. One or more days, with the client on set or watching remotely.
- Post. Offline edit first, look and structure agreed, then grade, VFX, graphics and sound.
- Delivery. Masters, cutdowns and versions in the formats each broadcaster and platform asks for.
Frequently asked questions
Do you have your own crew?
We have a permanent in-house team for creative direction, post-production, VFX, 3D and sound, and we assemble the shooting crew per project from people we work with regularly. It means you get a director and a DoP chosen for your script rather than whoever happens to be on staff, and you are not paying for a standing crew inside the quote.
Can you handle only the shoot, or only the post?
Yes, either. Plenty of our work is post on footage someone else shot, and occasionally we shoot for a client who finishes elsewhere. Most projects end up using both because it is faster and cheaper when one team carries the film from the set to the master.
What does a commercial cost?
It depends on shooting days, cast, locations and how much is built rather than filmed, so we quote per project. Send the script or the idea and you get a breakdown with a price against each deliverable, not a single figure at the bottom of a page.
Do you shoot outside Athens?
Yes. Athens and Attica are where most of our shoots happen and where we know the locations and the permit process, but we produce anywhere in Greece, and we have handled shoots for clients who never left their own office abroad.
How quickly can you turn a commercial around?
Faster than a chain of separate suppliers, because everything after the shoot happens in the same building and the people editing it were on set. Tell us the air date when you send the brief and you get a straight answer on whether it is doable, rather than finding out halfway through.
Send us the script
Send the script, the brief or just the idea and we come back with what it would take to make it, broken down so you can see where the money goes. If you are still deciding whether something should be shot or built, that is a fifteen-minute call.
